So you have decided to leave the office. 

If this is so then try to follow some common rules not to lose your dignity and also maintain the relations in the office too. Leaving job can be due to many reasons and you need to know how when and to whom inform and in what manner.

Make your mind why you want to leave. In any organization there can be many reasons that lead you to take decision for leaving the job. First check for the reason, either you got better opportunity, or the behavior of co-workers is not good towards you or any other problem. Make it sure why and do some homework.

Inform those who matter the most on first priority. This is the news you must inform everyone but make sure to inform your senior before you tell your co workers and other staff. Your higher management needs to know it on the top priority.

Be clear what you say and all in respect. Leaving job is a somewhat a matter of proud if you get any better opportunity. But you also need to know the way you explain this to all. Whenever anyone ask you about the reason don’t talk rubbish just be clear about what you say. Your reason is genuine and hence you don’t need to hide it.

Never pass any comment in favor or against any one. While leaving most of the time people wish to clear all pending issues and arguments. Make sure you don’t start this as this can affect your reputation.

Never give any commitment to any working staff. Leaving from a lower level and joining on higher level also add a scene of superiority. Don’t commit any other job or professional help to any employee in the organization. This can affect your reputation in the office as it seems to be like conspiracy against the organization.

Always follow it till the end. Leaving doesn’t mean that you have to quit before the time has come. Work till the last day of your working period.

Give greetings to all. Before leaving don’t forget to give your greetings to all your senior’s co staff and juniors. Make sure you do take contact information of all before leaving and do clear all the dues too.
