During every interview you would have observed countless competitive sitting beside you. At that time only the thing that strikes to mind is “Who’s going to get the job?” and when some get selected rather then you next question hit your mind is “What qualities that individual have?” There can be many answers but you have to pick the only that says you are lacing behind due to….
Shuffle your conscious and ask yourself why you dress well, manage all your documents for the interview. This all is to make a great impression. After your knowledge the thing that gets considered is your interaction and communication skill.
Let’s start with Interaction Skills
- Start with full confidence.
During any interview whenever you get opportunity to speak start it with full confidence. Always speak loud and clear, if you start low and slow then this will become difficult for you to pick the pace later on.
- Start first.
This is a point that can make an impression about you. Make the first move and start the take. Greet interviewer and give your introduction. Always follow the 1st point while talking.
- Never lose eye contact.
Always make an eye contact and don’t lose it. Your eyes give many expressions and these can be important to express yourself. Try always to make an eye contact with the interviewer.
- Be friendly.
A friendly nature is loved by all so be friendly. People get liked when they behave friendly, but always remember there is difference between being friendly and flattering.
- Stay engaged.
Most of the time if the interviewer says anything that you don’t agree to, you loses the engagement. If you disagree to them, tell them. This gives a positive impression about you. And your confidence reflects.
Communication skills
- Greetings.
The first impression is the last impression and greetings add on to your impression. Start with greeting ladies first “good morning/ noon/evening Madam” will do the thing. And make contact will others. Shake hands with your introduction “Hello Sir, My Name is …….”
- Never use disagree words.
“I don’t agree with you on this…” or “I don’t think so…” are incorrect you can use “my view is a bit different, I think…..” or “If you ask me….”. This will make different impression about you.
- Rest is your knowledge.
After this all that make an impression is your knowledge and experience.
Posture and body language
After all this your body language is the last point where your approval or rejection depends on. Always sit in a correct position and don’t set your body lose and low. Never rest your body on table also don’t sit in a lounging position.
Interview is not just about communication but is also how much efforts you give to get the job. So make it very clear if you want it or leave it.
